Facility Plan
Our vision: a 24-hour emergency and referral animal hospital on Kauai, built to the standard of care that saved Cleo's life on Oahu.
Modeled after VERC — built for Kauai
The Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center (VERC) on Oahu has been Hawaii's gold standard for emergency veterinary care since 2011. Their 17,250 sq ft facility offers 24/7 walk-in emergency care, advanced imaging, surgery, and specialty referral services. We're not copying their brand — we're bringing that level of care to Kauai.
VERC benchmark (Oahu)
- 17,250 sq ft facility (2021 expansion)
- 14 exam rooms, 4 surgery suites
- MRI, 128-slice CT, digital radiography
- 24/7/365 emergency — walk-ins welcome
- Specialties: critical care, surgery, oncology, neurology, internal medicine
The standard we're building toward
Cleo's life was saved at VERC — 345 N Nimitz Highway, Honolulu. Kauai deserves that same level of care, here at home.
Racing to VERC on Oahu

The care Cleo received — and what Kauai still needs
The 24-hour emergency care that exists on Oahu — and not yet on Kauai.
